A guide to renting from Venture Vans
If you're looking into renting a camper from Vancouver, we're excited to learn that you're thinking about renting with us at

From the initial booking, to the moment you pick up your campervan, hit the road, and return, our goal is to ensure that your experience with us is truly exceptional.
Payment
At Venture Vans we accept major credit cards through our online booking system.
Before picking up the campervan, a refundable damage deposit of either $1000 will be authorized on your payment method. This hold will occur the day on or before your scheduled pickup. Assuming the campervan is returned in excellent condition, with a full fuel tank, and no violations of our Rental Agreement, the deposit will be released back to you within seven days after drop-off.
Damage
It's the responsibility of the renter to carefully inspect the campervan before departing from Venture Vans' premises. This inspection should identify any damage that hasn't been documented in the Vehicle Condition report, which is available in the van and on record. If any such damage is found, the renter should inform us via email along with supporting visual evidence.
We highly recommend that renters also capture detailed photos or videos of the campervan during the return process at our premises.
By renting from Venture Vans, the renter grants authorization to charge the payment card on file for the complete cost of damages, in addition to any applicable administrative fees and potential loss of revenue charges.
Cancellations
We understand that plans change or unexpected emergencies happen. If you need to cancel for any reason, a 100% refund will be applied up to 30 days before pick up. 50% refund between 14 and 30 days before pick up. No refund within 14 days before pick up.
Festivals
While we pride ourselves on accommodating festivals at no extra charge, we regret to inform you that we do not facilitate rentals for Burning Man for free, please see our add on section if you wish to take our rentals to Burning Man. We kindly request you to remember that our policy strictly prohibits smoking. It's important to note that in the event of any damage from any festival, necessary repairs will be funded from your damage deposit.

Gas
The campervan will be full of fuel (regular gas) when you pick it up. Please return it full. Any unfilled campervans will be charged the fuel amount plus a service fee.
Fines
The responsibility for any citations and fines during the rental period lies with the renter. In the event that Venture Venture Vans is empowered to charge the credit card on record for the fine value, in addition to a $50 service fee as outlined in our Rental Agreement.

What is the earliest pickup time? 9:00 Am Earlier pickup is available for a fee.
How fuel efficient are the vehicles ? Our Dodge Grand Caravans deliver an impressive highway fuel economy rating 7.9 L/100 km on the highway, which is equivalent to 34 mpg. Economical vehicles add to a budget friendly road trip!
What time is Drop Off? 2:00 PM Latest. Late Drop Off is available for an additional fee.
How tall/long are the vehicles? Our vehicles are under 7ft tall and 17ft long which allows for the cheapest ferry and campground rates.
Where are we located ? Where we are located In Kitsilano in Vancouver, pickup location given with booking. We are a 20 minute drive from the airport, airport pickup available (link to add ons) We are a 10-15 minutes from downtown
Where can I leave my vehicle when on vacation? There is free street parking at the pickup location
Can I take the Van to USA? Yes, our vans can be used for Canada and USA travel.
What is your cancellation policy? Cancel 30 days before departure, full refund Cancel 14 before departure, 50% refund Cancel less than 14 days before departure, no refund.
What happens if we have a breakdown? With regular servicing and inspections we strive to keep our vehicles in tip top condition to avoid breakdowns for everyone's sake. This is not to say that sometimes things can't go wrong, and if they do, Venture Vans will provide full support to the customer to get them back on the road as soon as possible. We will have the vehicle towed to a registered repair shop with availability/ emergency availability and do all that we can to get the problem resolved. What type of fuel do we put in the vehicles? All of our vans take regular gas which is widely available. Our vans go out with a full tank and must come back with a full tank to avoid any fuel and fines from your $1000 deposit.

What if I damage the vehicle or get into an accident? What do I have to pay? Venture Vans will require a copy of the drivers licence (that is provided already) of the person who was driving at the time of the accident, along with details like time, place, pictures and cause. You the renter, will pay the deductible amount of $1000 unless the $300 deductible amount has been selected in the add ons (link to add ons) 1.Damage Assessment: If a van is returned with damage exceeding the damage deposit, Venture Vans initiates a claim and holds the damage deposit. 2 .Estimate Process: An estimate for the repair is obtained from an ICBC accredited shop. 3. Approval from ICBC: The estimate is submitted to ICBC for approval. 4. Notification of Approved Amount: ICBC approves the estimate and informs the owner (Venture Vans) about the approved amount. 5. Deductible Handling: Venture Vans claims the full $1000 damage deposit and sends the deductible amount for the vehicle to ICBC. If the damage deposit doesn't cover the full deductible amount, Venture Vans charges the balance to the renter. Outdoorsy then pays the ICBC deductible. 6.Repair Process: The vehicle is repaired. In cases where damage is within the damage amount (e.g., breaking the wing mirror or scratching the door ), Venture Vans uses the equal amount from the damage deposit to cover the repair without involving insurance. We luckily have had none of these incidents, so let's keep the good vibes rolling!
Are there any age restrictions/ license restrictions? We know how hard it can be to get a vehicle rental when you are under 25! This is why we do not discriminate against any age, if you have achieved your class 5 license, that means you have proven you can drive, that is enough for us. Just treat our vehicles like it is your own, be safe and stick to the rules of the road. In the rental agreement, it is necessary to identify the individuals who will be operating the vehicle. These designated drivers must provide pictures and numbers of their driver's license The addition of extra drivers costs only $10 per day (link to add ons)
Can I bring a pet? Yes we love pets and allow Dogs in our rentals for a fee of $100, we also require the renter to leave the vehicle back in respectable condition and not pet hair everywhere, in this case we ask the renter to thoroughly vacuum the vehicle to avoid our $150 deep cleaning fees for vehicles returned beyond the usual expected dirt/dust. Unfortunately we do not allow cats due to allergy concerns.
